We are known for our May Fayre, that has historically been held on Coronation Square. And while we are working to bring this back in 2025, we currently host a variety of smaller events.

Spring & Autumn Markets

These are an opportunity of locals and charities to come together and sell their wares to the community. As we know shopping can be a little boring for kids so we provide entertainment. There is a free craft table and at our Spring market there was a scavenger hunt. The prize for finding all the clues was an Easter egg and a Easter craft. For our 2024 Autumn market event we are planning a fancy dress competition. There are also refreshments on sale with homemade cakes, hot drinks and free squash for the children.

Saturday Socials

An opportunity for local residents to meet up for a chat over a cuppa. And most importantly CAKE!

Seniors Christmas Lunch

A long standing tradition is for the SCA to host a Christmas Lunch for local senior residents. This wonderful event is only possible due to the generosity of Reading Lions, who supply and prepare all the food. And of course the glass of sherry! There is Bingo, a raffle and lots of fun. In 2023 Thames Valley Police came along with a variety of freebies for our guests.
